Brian is the principle owner and majority Shareholder at QuTec. As a business leader and outstanding technical engineer, Brian calls on 46yrs of vast experience and know-how, having developed a number of successful companies over his career including Vanguard Presswork, (ETB) Exhausts, Tyres and Batteries, Qutec Pershore Ltd, Biltoe and AllFab. Brian’s role as Commercial Director has been crucial in placing QuTec where it trades today and he still has active daily input into technical engineering solutions, design and tooling and production methodology.
Alongside the business, Brian’s passions include his family, walking his dog, golf, and socialising.
Greg is a proven business leader with an accounts background, bringing 25 years of experience and responsibility in achieving sizeable business goals through large management teams in the Financial Retail Services Sector. Having joined QuTec in 2014, Greg’s clear remit is to define and lead Qutec’s strategic business program for sustained expansion and profit growth. Core skills include strategic leadership, business alignment, business strategy, business development, business transformation, commercial sales growth, diversification, integration and start-up. His crash course in Engineering is still on-going!
Alongside the business, Greg’s passions include his wife and boys, skiing, jet skiing, gym, WBA FC, socialising and cooking.
Roger began his career as an apprentice toolmaker with Evesham Metal Pressings, completing a four year apprenticeship, before progressing to Lead Toolmaker including responsibility for Jig and Tool design. Over a 20yr period, Roger continued to expand his knowledge and engineering expertise, before taking responsibility for quality and technical solutions. In 2003 he assisted in the formation of Qutec and was appointed to his present role of Technical & Quality Director.
Outside of work, Roger has a classic car which he has restored and he keeps fit by walking, cycling and occasional skiing.
Carl joined QuTec in 2014 offering strong operation and production management skills to the company. Backed by extensive experience in sheet metalwork and fabrication, Carl has assisted in many deliverables within our Fabrication expansion plan. Carl has also developed a full operational and production improvement plan for the remaining company footprints, which we continue to work towards as part of our key internal strategy. He inspires loyalty in his team and has the depth of knowledge to be able to mentor, guide and offer solutions to technical problems. Carl has a professional approach in front of customers and suppliers alike and he continually demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude.
Darren joined QuTec only this year, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the manufacturing environment having worked in the printing industry and also the automotive sector in inspection / internal auditing with Toyota and Rover. For the last 12 years, he worked for a leading sheetmetal company in Australia having started as a Quality Assurance Manager and taking on the role of lead Estimator before moving in to the BDM role. Darren’s role at QuTec is to bring Quality and standards to the next level, starting with achieving ISO9001:2015 from its current ISO9001:2008 accreditation.
In his spare time, Darren likes to stay active by playing football and cricket….as long as his body permits that is!
Jane (Brian’s wife) has been Senior Financial controller and business advisor, supporting Brian through 46yrs of business across a number of successful companies including Vanguard Presswork, (ETB) Exhausts, Tyres and Batteries, QuTec Pershore Ltd, Biltoe and AllFab. Jane’s key skills to the business include financial controls, accounting, cash flow and payroll administration.
Outside of work Jane’s passions include her family and dog, gardening, cookery and socialising with friends.
Tracy (Greg’s wife), joined QuTec having previously worked at large automotive companies such as Johnson Controls (11yrs) and Jaguar Land Rover (9yrs). Tracy’s responsibilities as Financial Controller include financial controls, banking, cash flow management, payroll and pensions administration. Tracy also supports Greg with the company’s marketing requirements including our new website (CMS), mailing deck, analytics and media presence.
Alongside the business, Tracy loves her family, enjoys skiing and keeping fit and is an avid sports fan.
Janet joined the company in August 2014 in her role as “Sales and Purchasing Assistant”. Janet assists our Purchasing Director through sales order process, contract review, purchasing, job allocation to production and stock management control. Janet brings vital experience in sage systems and back office controls from previous business roles.
Holly joined QuTec in 2017 as Office Administrator and is the “first voice and face of the company” for customers and suppliers contacting or visiting our premises. Holly controls the reception desk, processes supplier and customer invoices, oversees our general administration function and directly assists Tracy in accounts. Holly also supports general purchasing and production control.
Barry role as Production Supervisor is a vital one in terms of insuring quality and timely production delivery to all of QuTec’s customer base. He has been part of the QuTec team for 5 years and has been in engineering for over 30 years, offering manufacturing expertise across our entire product range. Barry is one of our qualified first aiders and has undergone training provided by Qutec to qualify to drive both reach and counterbalance fork lifts. Barry is an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching football and cricket, Barry’s interests out of work are, family, golf, snooker and skittles.
Derek`s role as Technical Engineer is a vital one and enables Qutec to correctly channel resource into developing new methods and processes and dealing with technical issues as they arise. Derek has been within the engineering sector for 32 years and with Qutec for 12 years. Derek has a good sound knowledge of all the aspects of production within Qutec encompassing both the Press Shop and the Fabrication department. He is also lead CNC programmer and excels in R & D, prototyping and value engineering.
Graham served an engineering apprenticeship at Worcester Technical College and has been a tool maker for over 30 years. He has been with Qutec since 2003 as our lead Toolmaker and is one of our qualified first aiders. Graham enjoys country walks, playing pool and eating out. Graham also enjoys football and supports Liverpool F.C.
Mark has been in engineering for 40 years and at QuTec he has overseen goods inwards and despatch for 11 years. His responsibilities include the smooth running of the company’s stores, assisting with sub-contract operational flow (in and outs) and supporting our Purchasing team with transport scheduling. Mark liaises across all of the operational functions and his counterbalance fork lift licence is a necessity!
Mark enjoys watching football and playing skittles and pool.
